Fall Fun Fest Chili Cook-Off & Car Show

September 7th, 2013: This will be our 30th Annual Chili Cook Off and 5th Annual Car Show! We have had some great chilies over the years and then we have had some not so great chilies, but it is always a fun weekend! The changes we made the last couple years to the judging process seemed to work a little better so we are going to run this year the same way, so we can continue to place more chilies. We will continue to award trophies to the top 10 entries!

Trophies will be awarded to top cars in each class and best of show. We will also have a people's choice trophy as well as an originality award. There will also be a "most likely to get pulled over" class, this class will be picked by local police department.

This weekend is 25% off on camping and cabins.

Chili Cook Off Information:

Entry fee is $15 in advance.

Registration from 8a.m. till 10a.m. at the concession tent.

Cooking time from 10a.m. till 1p.m. Public tasting and voting from 1p.m. till 4p.m. Chili Cookers meeting will now be at 9:45 a.m. at concessions tent.

Judging results announced between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at concessions tent.
Chili must be entirely cooked on site in allotted time, and no beans in the chili.
Chili will be judged on aroma, taste, and texture.
Cook 2 gallons of chili so public can taste and vote for people's choice.

Trophies will go to top 10 chilies and people's choice.

Car Show Information:

Entry fee: $15

Registration from 9a.m. till noon. Show from Noon till 4p.m.

Results announced between 4:30pm and 5p.m. at concessions tent.

Stock Domestic Pre 1990
Stock Domestic Post 1991
Modified Domestic All Years
Import All Years
Trucks All Years

Trophies: awarded to Top 3 in each class, people’s choice, best of show, originality award, and most likely to get pulled over chosen by Noel PD.

Spectator Information:

Admission $5 kids under 5 are free.
At 1 p.m. you will be given a small bowl and spoon to sample chilies & ballots to vote for your favorite chili and car, these will be available at the Camp Store or the Concessions Tent.
Look for bright posters with numbers for chili cookers.
Concession tent open from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m.
Car show from Noon till 4 p.m.
Turn in your ballots at the concession tent by 4 p.m.
Spectator pass ends at 7 p.m.
